My Tulpa started in 2013 when TJ Boudreau kept writing songs about death and love because he was sick of playing in cover bands. These songs were put out on My Tulpa’s 2014 release Daymares. Soon after this TJ moved to Baltimore and took 11 months to finish his next album while playing dive bars and talent shows around the city. The finished product from those 11 months was an album called Misanthropy released in June 2015, this album was influenced by TJ’s own internal struggles and the spirit of Baltimore.Soon after realizing he did not want to work in a pizza parlor his whole life TJ moved back to his native Massachusetts to go to school and continue to work on music. While trying to get a performing band together TJ has written a few dozen songs some of which were featured on the Oh Amy EP released in February 2016 with another EP planned for later in the year and a full length record in 2017.
